Oyster River Cooperative School Board News for June 1, 2022

Oyster River High School Graduation is June 10, 2022 (weather-permitting). Congratulations to the ORHS Class of ’22!

4th graders from Moharimet and Mast Way will tour Oyster River Middle School on June 10 to learn about the middle school experience and have lunch at ORMS. 8th graders who will enter ORHS next year will visit the High School on June 14. Both visits will occur during the school day. Numerous other year-end recognition, celebration, concerts, and honors induction events happen within the last few weeks of school.

June 17 is the last day of school in Oyster River Schools for this year.

The ORMS Drama Club presents Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream in the ORMS concert hall this Saturday, June 4 at 7:00 pm and Sunday, June 5 at 1:00 pm.

The School Board recognized Student Representative Olivia Glass and thanked Olivia for her service on behalf of students. Olivia has continued a strong history of bringing student voice to the school board.

ORHS students Maeve Hickock, Delaney Nadeau, and Greg Caron presented the work of the ORHS Dress Code Committee. The Committee has worked to rewrite the ORHS Dress Code over the last year, with input from students, parents, staff, and other school districts.

The School Board approved the Superintendent’s nomination of Rachael Blansett to be ORCSD’s first DEIJ Coordinator. Ms. Blansett’s role with the school district is expected to begin August 1, 2022.
